Overview

In this role you will contribute to the full FPGA development lifecycle for a specialist design consultancy, delivering digital hardware solutions across multiple industries. You will work alongside experienced consultants and system architects on architectures, RTL implementation, verification, and integration onto target hardware. You will gain exposure to several FPGA vendors and industry‑leading processes on technically challenging projects. Your work supports customers from requirements to delivery, shaping robust hardware platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Develop FPGA architectures and implement RTL (VHDL/Verilog)
  • Perform FPGA verification, simulation, and timing analysis
  • Support integration of designs onto target hardware
  • Contribute across the full design lifecycle from requirements to delivery
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and customer stakeholders
  • Engage with multiple FPGA vendors and development processes
Key requirements
  • FPGA development experience using VHDL or Verilog
  • Strong understanding of digital design principles and RTL development
  • Experience with FPGA simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis
  • Understanding of the complete FPGA design lifecycle
  • Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams
  • Experience with embedded C, Python, TCL, Ethernet, packet processing, or SoC architectures would be advantageous
