Fraud Strategy Associate Vancouver

Use SQL and Python to strengthen fraud detection at Brex in Vancouver, working hybrid across credit, deposit, and card payment rails.

As a Fraud Strategy Associate, you will own fraud and risk ecosystem integrity across Brex products. You will identify patterns, trace root causes, and build detection logic, automations, and reporting. The work partners with Risk, Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to prevent fraud within the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mine large-scale data using SQL, Python, and LLM-based tools
• Design automated detection logic while minimizing legitimate customer friction
• Optimize fraud investigation workflows and documentation
• Define KPIs, dashboards, and fraud performance reporting
• Assess incidents and recommend structural process improvements

Requirements:

• Three-plus years in fraud strategy, risk operations, or data-driven operations
• Experience in financial services or high-growth fintech environments
• Capability with SQL and/or Python for automation and modeling
• Ability to manage complex projects through operational rollout
• Exceptional executive-level analytical communication skills
