Freelance Unity Developer (contract)

We're a small studio building a new mobile game from scratch, and we're looking for a freelance Unity developer to build it with us.

This is a ground‑floor role. There's no existing codebase, no tech lead above you, and no one handing you tickets. You'd make the technical calls and own them.

What matters to us:

You're UK-based. This one's a must. Bonus points if you are in the North West or London - for potential coffee/beer meet‑ups.

You've shipped mobile games in Unity, ideally taken one from nothing to live yourself. Freelance experience is a real plus.

You're at home with 3D in Unity, not just 2D or UI work.

You understand American football. A genuine passion for it is a big plus; an interest in and understanding of it is a must.

Who you are:

You work across the whole build, not just one corner of it.

You're comfortable working from limited direction and taking real ownership.

You can work with two non‑technical founders, taking the vision and building on it.

How we work:

We don't care about when or how you work. We care about what you build and whether it's good.

Freelance, starting in October, with real potential for ongoing work as the studio grows. Outside IR35 only.

Developers, include links to mobile games you've shipped in Unity. Artists, send a reel or portfolio showing your character animation.
