Overview

Join Lyst as a JavaScript Engineer to help the fashion platform exceed shopper expectations and deliver new features. Work in a product-driven, cross-disciplinary team with designers and data scientists to shape tooling, UI components, and internal dashboards. You’ll contribute to open-source libraries, improve build and deployment processes, and write comprehensive tests. Responsibilities
  • Solve complex JS (client-side) and/or Python/Django (server-side) problems
  • Contribute to open-source libraries such as Baustein and inlinify
  • Collaborate with product and design to implement new features
  • Build and maintain internal tools and dashboards (server-rendered and EmberJS apps)
  • Improve build processes for faster deployment and iteration
  • Write unit and integration tests
  • Develop personal skills and contribute to community events
Key requirements
  • Progressive enhancement mindset
  • Mobile-first approach
  • JavaScript proficiency (prefer vanilla JS; ES6)
  • CSS with LESS (potential move to Sass) and BEM methodology
  • Front-end tooling familiarity (Grunt, Make, RequireJS, Browserify, LESS, JHint, ESLint, Karma, Mocha, Sinon)
  • Python experience and understanding (JS and Python are complementary)
