Front End Engineer

Overview
In this role you will design and build modern front-end applications using React, Redux and TypeScript, taking ideas from prototype to production. You will help shape front-end architecture, API integration and engineering best practices within a collaborative team. Expect work on complex data flows, performance, and scalable UI solutions, with a focus on delivering quality and maintainability. You will collaborate with backend engineers and product teams, leveraging AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery and improve developer productivity.
Responsibilities- Design and develop modern, scalable front-end applications using React, Redux and TypeScript
- Build intuitive UIs capable of managing and presenting multiple workflows and complex data
- Work with engineering teams to define and assess API structures, ensuring performance and SLA compliance
- Improve SDLC and engineering practices, including mock services, automated testing, code quality and development standards
- Develop comprehensive unit and E2E testing, driving strong automated test coverage
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines within GitLab, including automated E2E test execution
- Utilise modern AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate engineering and productivity
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions through to production
- Strong commercial experience with React
- Excellent TypeScript / JavaScript development skills
- Strong experience with Redux and front-end state management
- REST APIs and integration experience
- Unit, integration and E2E testing
- CI/CD and GitLab
- Strong understanding of modern front-end architecture and SDLC practices
- Experience of AI-assisted coding/development tools would be highly advantageous
