Front End Engineer (AI Platforms)

In this role, you contribute to the AgentHub user experience within HSBC’s AI Platforms. You build and evolve enterprise-grade web interfaces that enable agent creation, workflow design, and model configuration. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure frontend features and low-code experiences. You drive impactful UI solutions that support responsible AI delivery at scale, leveraging modern frontend tech. This is a mission-driven opportunity to shape AI tooling used across the bank.

• Develop AgentHub web applications and developer experiences using React, Next.js and TypeScript
• Create interfaces for agent creation/configuration, workflow design, tool/MCP server management, and policy visibility
• Build reusable frontend components and patterns
• Develop low-code experiences enabling agent/workflow creation with security controls
• Integrate frontend with backend APIs, event streams and platform services
• Support agent lifecycle journeys from development to retirement
• Provide clear feedback on validation errors, policy decisions, and runtime status
• Develop dashboards for testing, evaluation and monitoring

• Significant frontend engineering experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD
• Experience designing and building enterprise-grade web applications and developer platforms
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, API integration and asynchronous workflows
• Experience with automated testing (unit/integration/end-to-end)
• Understanding of REST APIs, event-driven systems and distributed architecture
• Exposure to GenAI, LLMs, agentic workflows, MCP, RAG or AI platform concepts
