Overview

As Frontend Engineer at Faculty, you will visualise insights from data scientists for government-facing clients. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex AI-enabled frontend challenges, lead frontend standards, and help scale reusable components. You’ll set up and maintain deployment infra for your team and mentor other engineers. This role blends technical excellence with a mission to deploy responsible AI at scale in public services.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and design specialists to build client-facing products
  • Prioritise, plan, coordinate, and communicate frontend features to stakeholders
  • Set up and maintain development and deployment infrastructure for the frontend team
  • Maintain and enforce frontend best practices and standards across the frontend capacity
  • Create and maintain reusable component libraries for company-wide use
  • Provide training, mentoring, and onboarding support for new frontend engineers
  • Act as the go-to authority for frontend software engineering within the team
Key requirements
  • Demonstrated experience building scalable, maintainable, and well-tested web applications using React
  • Proficiency in ES6 JavaScript, HTML, and CSS3
  • Hands-on experience with TypeScript or other typed languages
  • Experience in data visualization techniques (e.g., d3)
  • Exposure to cloud deployment on AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Strong focus on technical excellence and capability to mentor others
