Frontend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive features within an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) .
• Build reusable frontend components and contribute to shared code libraries.
• Integrate RESTful APIs into frontend applications.
• Write unit tests using Jest / React Testing Library .
• Develop end-to-end automated testing using Playwright, Cypress or Selenium .
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting application delivery.
• Apply secure development practices, including secrets management and CI/CD security .
• Build and deploy applications to Azure and/or GCP .
• Participate in code reviews, prototyping and technical documentation.
• Contribute to platform and product roadmaps and continuous improvement.
• Provide hands-on production/live service support , resolving incidents and implementing long-term fixes.
• Lead technical discussions with engineering teams, SMEs and senior stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical upskilling across teams.
• Strong frontend engineering and reusable component development experience.
• Jest and React Testing Library experience.
• Automated functional/E2E testing using Playwright, Cypress and/or Selenium .
• Experience integrating REST APIs .
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines .
• Experience deploying applications to Azure and/or GCP .
• Understanding of secure development and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience supporting production/live applications.
• Backstage / Internal Developer Platform experience.
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code .
• Experience working with developer portals or developer experience platforms.
