Frontend Lead Software Engineer

As Frontend Lead in the CIB Research Technology team, you will drive frontend engineering excellence for the Research Platform amid a large platform transformation. You lead end-to-end frontend delivery, shaping architecture and SDLC practices to deliver scalable, resilient UI capabilities. You collaborate with product managers and design to translate complex requirements into robust solutions, while mentoring engineers and upholding quality, accessibility, and compliance. You will work across cross-functional teams to align the platform with the firm’s quantitative research and client-facing needs.

• Lead end-to-end frontend deliverables from discovery to production
• Architect frontend solutions with a platform-first approach
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to translate requirements
• Shape SDLC practices, delivery mechanisms, and scalable UI frameworks
• Mentor engineers and foster technical excellence and continuous learning
• Enforce strong engineering standards, testing, accessibility, and compliance
• Contribute to evolving the team's technology strategy and evaluate new tools

• Proven end-to-end ownership of complex frontend deliverables involving multiple teams
• Deep frontend expertise with modern stacks (React, Vue, Svelte, Angular) and TypeScript fundamentals
• Experience with design systems (Material, Fluent, Carbon, Radix, Bootstrap) and UX collaboration
• Strong testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and modern build tooling (Vite, Turbopack, Webpack)
• Experience deploying scalable, cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
