Full Cycle Accounts Payable Specialist

Manage full-cycle accounts payable with strong accounting knowledge and Excel skills in a hands-on contract opportunity. Work independently within a lean finance team.

This experienced Accounts Payable Specialist will independently oversee the complete accounts payable function. The work includes invoice processing, coding, reconciliations, payment support, vendor management, and month-end close activities. You will also apply accounting fundamentals while collaborating with internal departments to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage invoice processing, coding, reconciliations, and payment support
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies proactively
• Allocate operating expenses across departments and general ledger accounts
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and prepaid expenses
• Review invoices for tax treatment and expense classification

Requirements:

• Minimum three years of full-cycle accounts payable experience
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, accruals, and prepaids
• Vendor management, reconciliations, and general ledger coding experience
• Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions
