In this role you drive robust, scalable software architecture and lead development teams to deliver high-performance solutions. You will mentor engineers, shape technical direction, and ensure secure, scalable outcomes aligned with business goals. The position sits within Version 1’s growing Digital, Data and Cloud practice, offering hands-on leadership in a technology-forward environment. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to enable fast, reliable product delivery and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-quality software architecture and technical solutions that meet business requirements
  • Ensure architecture is scalable, maintainable, and secure
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure quality product platform
  • Lead and mentor development teams; provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define scope and deliverables
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues
  • Promote continuous improvement in development, testing, and deployment practices
Key requirements
  • Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline
  • 10+ years in software development with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role
  • Strong expertise in Node.js, Express.js and related frameworks
  • Experience with React or similar front-end technologies
  • AWS cloud platform experience and certification
  • Knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns
  • Experience with microservices and cloud-native applications
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and data modeling
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins)
