Full Stack Engineer

Role: Full Stack Software Engineers(React + Python)

Duration: 6-12 Months Contract to Perm

Location: Belfast (Hybrid)

We are looking for talented Full Stack Software Engineers with 2–8+ years of experience to develop modern, scalable applications using cloud technologies and AI-assisted development tools.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of features from concept to production, contribute to technical decisions, and build high-quality software in a product-focused engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build scalable backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django), REST, and GraphQL.
• Design and optimise database schemas, queries, and data models using PostgreSQL and related database technologies.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services, including Lambda, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, and RDS.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and support CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to improve development efficiency while ensuring code quality, security, and maintainability.
• Work closely with product stakeholders to translate user requirements into effective technical solutions and deliver features end to end.
• Contribute to technical architecture, engineering standards, and mentoring, depending on experience and seniority.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Backend development experience with Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL, database modelling, and query optimisation.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Devin AI.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated code critically, identify security risks, and ensure reliable, maintainable solutions.
