This opportunity suits engineers who enjoy building applications and taking responsibility for how they are tested, deployed and supported and is a hands‑on role combining full stack software engineering, cloud deployment and DevOps practices.

You will take ownership of changes throughout the delivery lifecycle, from backlog refinement and development through testing, deployment and operational handover, working across React and TypeScript interfaces, Python Back‑End services and AWS infrastructure, taking features from initial refinement through to production.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong hands‑on React, TypeScript/JavaScript and Python/FastAPI development skills.
  • Experience building REST APIs, microservices and secure authentication using OAuth2, OpenID Connect and JWT.
  • Practical AWS experience, including IAM, monitoring, secrets management and serverless or container‑based services.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Git, code reviews, CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in Agile delivery teams.

Desirable

Infrastructure as Code (IaC), container orchestration, event‑driven architectures and production troubleshooting experience.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop accessible, responsive front‑end applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Build secure backend services and REST APIs using Python and FastAPI.
  • Implement integrations, database changes and reliable AWS deployments.
  • Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks and release processes.
  • Work with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, including data modelling, query optimisation and migrations.
  • Troubleshoot defects, improve service reliability and support production releases.

N.B. Candidates will have or be willing to undergo a basic level of security clearance prior to starting the role (5-7 days lead time)
