Full-stack Engineer (up to £140k)

The role

This company builds an AI data-integration and analysis platform. They automate document processing and natural-language data retrieval for enterprise customers. Think highly sensitive financial environments, where SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR are non-negotiable. They've secured significant funding from leading investors and are scaling rapidly. You'll report directly to the founders. This is a true full-stack seat, not a front-end role with backend tickets bolted on. You'll own design and shipping across the entire stack, from React/Next.js to Python services and cloud deployments. Expect direct collaboration on high-impact features and the chance to mentor as the team grows.

The work

  • Design and ship end-to-end features across React, Next.js, and Python (Django/FastAPI) services.
  • Build and optimize background workers and Redis-backed task queues for critical operations.
  • Contribute to cloud infrastructure planning (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD strategy.
  • Collaborate directly with founders, product, and design on high-impact, customer-facing features.
  • Mentor junior engineers, shaping best practices and contributing to team growth.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, shipping products end-to-end.
  • Proven track record building and running production applications with React and Next.js.
  • Strong Python backend skills (Django or FastAPI preferred) and solid database fundamentals.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Fluency with background workers, task queues (e.g., Celery, RQ), and Redis for caching or job queues.
