Full Stack Generative AI Developer

Build secure, scalable AI applications with Python and React at The Canada Life Assurance Company in a hybrid Canadian setting.

As an AI Developer, you will connect models and data capabilities into business solutions through front-end development, back-end services, APIs, and enterprise integrations. You will design user-centred applications with business, data science, and technology stakeholders. The work includes generative AI, agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation, and intelligent document processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate business use cases into AI application designs
• Build full-stack applications, interfaces, Python services, and REST APIs
• Develop generative AI and retrieval-augmented generation capabilities
• Integrate cloud platforms across development, testing, and production
• Implement testing, security, privacy, observability, and operational support

Requirements:

• Related bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent practical experience
• At least three years delivering production software applications
• Strong Python skills and modern front-end framework experience
• API engineering, databases, source control, and automated testing experience
• Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and generative AI integration experience
