Full Stack React Software Engineer

Build digital experiences at Manulife in a hybrid Waterloo role using React, JavaScript, APIs, and server-side services across the stack.

This experienced Full Stack Software Engineer contributes throughout the software development lifecycle, from design and prototyping through deployment and improvement. You will develop responsive front-end applications with React, integrate APIs and databases, and work within Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices. The role supports accessible, maintainable digital products for business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain full-stack business applications
• Build reusable responsive experiences with React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Integrate APIs, databases, server-side logic, and front-end components
• Create automated tests and test harnesses for reliable releases
• Troubleshoot defects and improve application performance and quality

Requirements:

• Three to five years of professional Full Stack Software Engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with React, Node.js, Express, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Knowledge of React architecture, Redux, and server-side rendering
• Experience building responsive applications aligned with WCAG 2.1
• Understanding of Agile, DevOps, testing, APIs, and database design
