Build Affirm Card experiences remotely in Canada using Python or Kotlin, React or Vue, and scalable backend systems. Shape checkout-critical customer journeys.

As a Software Engineer II, Full Stack, you will develop customer-facing features and supporting services at Affirm. You will collaborate with Product, Design, analytics, and engineering teams while turning complex problems into thoughtful solutions. The work includes mobile, backend systems, and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Break larger projects into tasks and deliver work across phases
  • Collaborate on ideation, constraints, risks, and trade-offs
  • Create and monitor metrics supporting service availability
  • Support operational and on-call efforts for team artifacts
  • Participate in interviews and team development activities

Requirements:

  • At least 1.5 years of software engineering experience
  • Backend systems experience with Python or Kotlin proficiency
  • Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes, and distributed systems
  • Web application experience using React or Vue
  • Experience launching APIs at scale using Python or Kotlin
