Overview
In this role, you will architect and build software solutions for the Alternatives Data Management team, delivering AI-powered data products and distributed services. You will work closely with product managers and other engineers to translate requirements into robust design and code, while mentoring junior engineers. You’ll document architecture and collaborate across teams to resolve dependencies. This position emphasizes ownership, independent delivery, and contributing to scalable, high-value systems in the financial data space.
Responsibilities- Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions to solve complex problems
- Independently deliver high-value projects from design through delivery
- Collaborate with product managers on requirements, feasibility, and user feedback
- Learn and promote best engineering practices
- Document software functionality, system design, and project plans
- Mentor junior engineers and provide constructive guidance
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders from other teams to resolve technical issues or coordinate dependencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Extensive software engineering experience
- Track record of leading technical initiatives from design through delivery
- Comfortable working independently with a bias for action
- Strong ownership mentality and drive to solve important problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience with financial services or wealth management operations
- Experience with object-oriented programming
- Experience with AWS or another cloud platform
- Experience with IaC (infrastructure as code), preferably Terraform
