Full Stack Software Engineer III - Java

In this role you will own end-to-end delivery of secure, full-stack features for Global Banking Technology, shaping scalable software built on microservices and event-driven architectures. You will drive performance, resiliency, and operational excellence while expanding your technical influence and responsibly exploring AI patterns. You work closely with cross-functional teams to turn requirements into robust designs and production code, contributing to a culture of strong reviews and continuous improvement. Responsibilities- Lead delivery of complex features and services by shaping options and implementing scalable software
- Own end-to-end engineering outcomes across design, build, test, release, and operate phases with security and reliability
- Set a high bar for code quality through secure production code, reviews, and debugging across services
- Drive operational excellence by automating recurring issues and improving system stability
- Influence architecture and platform alignment across teams with API/event contracts and data flows
- Partner on technical evaluations for architecture, security posture, and platform fit
- Mentor teammates through pairing, design reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Promote inclusive engineering culture and respect in team environment
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring constraints
- Leverage enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve code quality and productivity
- Apply SDLC tooling and automation to enhance value of automation
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- Proven ownership of design and delivery for production services, including testing strategy and operational support
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Spring Kafka with performance tuning
- Experience with microservices and Kafka/event-driven architectures, including reliability patterns
- Experience implementing automation and CI/CD pipelines with quality gates
- Full SDLC proficiency with clear documentation and traceability
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery, resiliency, and secure engineering practices
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and ability to critically evaluate AI outputs
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling of inputs/outputs
