Full-stack Typescript Staff Engineer

In this role you will contribute to Medidata’s next‑gen SaaS CTMS platform, helping to deploy scalable clinical trial management solutions. You will propose solutions to complex business problems and perform impact analyses to steer technical decisions. You will define engineering practices, collaborate with management and architecture groups, and mentor peers to improve code quality and embrace TDD/BDD. You will troubleshoot production issues and work with a global, cross‑functional team to deliver impactful product milestones. • Propose solutions to complex business problems and translate them to technology
• Provide impact analysis, technical assessment and documentation
• Define and advocate engineering practices for the team
• Lead product delivery with Engineering management and Architecture groups
• Troubleshoot production issues and propose workarounds
• Mentor Senior & App Engineer level colleagues; perform code reviews to promote TDD/BDD
• Collaborate with a diverse and globally distributed team

• Experience programming in TypeScript
• Experience with microservices and cloud-based web applications
• Experience orchestrating teams to automate parts of the SDLC
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with DevOps tools like GitHub Actions, Terraform or similar
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and auditing security concepts
• Typically 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree or equivalent
• Experience in commercial B2B / Enterprise SaaS offerings
