Fullstack AI Engineer (Staff) - IFS Logistics

In this role you define the technical direction for the Experience squad in IFS Logistics, shaping how the platform interfaces with customers and cross-product surfaces. You will build and own backend and platform capabilities, from identity and access to product integrations, while staying hands-on and maintaining high standards. You’ll drive architecture, set standards, and ensure observable, cost-conscious delivery that scales with the business. • Set technical direction and architecture for the Experience squad, including SSO, identity, IFS Intelligence integration, and cross-product surfaces
• Own and ship API v3 boundaries enabling shared identity, permissions and navigation across product areas
• Develop a commercially viable demo environment that acts as a real product surface
• Integrate IFS Intelligence and IFS Cloud, including embedding paths such as Project Oliver
• Define guardrails, observability, and cost controls to ensure safe agentic behavior in new surfaces
• Act as technical voice to VP Product and Chief Architect; perform code reviews and maintain hands-on involvement
• Review React and Django work, upholding high frontend and backend standards
• Foster a culture of high-quality delivery through review, pairing, and pushing for higher standards

• Approximately eight years of production software experience
• Deep Python/Django REST API design, data modeling and service reliability
• Experience setting technical direction for a team and defending architectural decisions
• Strong performance, cost, and observability focus; pager ownership and design docs
• Genuinely fullstack with comfort in React; ability to elevate frontend work without writing all code
• Experience with AI-native workflows (Cursor and Claude) and building with context for agents
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and articulate a clear view on priorities
