Fullstack Mobile Developer (iOS Swift/SwiftUI/NestJS)

Our client is seeking contract based Software Developer with strong experience building native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI , combined with solid backend development expertise in NestJS, Node.js and TypeScript . The role will contribute to native iOS application development while also supporting backend APIs and integrations connecting the mobile application with enterprise platforms and services.

Location: 4d/week Markham

Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI .
• Build reusable SwiftUI components and implement modern iOS application architecture.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using NestJS, Node.js and TypeScript .
• Build integrations between iOS applications, backend services and enterprise systems.
• Implement authentication, API integration, error handling and secure data flows.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs.
• Troubleshoot application and integration issues across the iOS and backend layers.
• Write unit/integration tests and participate in code reviews.
• Work with Product, Architecture, DevOps and other engineering teams through development and production support.

Experience

• Strong, recent production experience with Swift .
• Strong hands-on experience with SwiftUI .
• Experience delivering native iOS applications into production.
• Strong Node.js and TypeScript .
• REST API development and systems integration experience.
• Authentication/authorization and secure API integration experience.
• Experience supporting production applications.

Nice to Have

• Azure Container Apps, APIM, Key Vault or Managed Identity.
• CI/CD for iOS and backend services.
• Xcode, TestFlight and enterprise/MDM deployment.
• Application Insights or similar observability tooling.
