Functional Analyst – D365 F&O

Overview
Our client is a well‑established, global organization with a strong presence in Montreal and operations across multiple markets. They are continuing to invest in their enterprise technology landscape and are looking for a Functional Analyst specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations to support ongoing implementation, optimization, and business transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions.
- Support full‑cycle D365 F&O implementation activities, including fit‑gap analysis, functional design, configuration, testing, training, and post‑go‑live support.
- Configure key Finance modules, including chart of accounts, financial dimensions, posting definitions, journals, period close, allocations, vendor setup, invoice journals, payment proposals, workflows, customer invoicing, cash receipts, credit and collections.
- Support asset management configuration, including acquisitions, depreciation books, transfers, and disposals.
- Configure banking, reconciliation, payment processing, tax, withholding tax, reporting, intercompany accounting, and Electronic Reporting.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure effective system integration and delivery.
- Create documentation, support user training, and provide demos to business users.
- Troubleshoot issues, resolve incidents, and support continuous improvement across finance processes.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Strong knowledge of the D365 F&O Finance module.
- Experience supporting implementations, enhancements, integrations, testing, and end‑user support.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, banking, tax, and reporting.
- Ability to gather requirements and translate them into use cases, test cases, and functional design documents.
- Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are considered an asset.
- Experience with ExFlow is an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required; French is an asset.
