Functional Consultant - PROS

In this role, you bridge business stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure PROS Smart CPQ solutions meet needs and deliver measurable value. You’ll work inside an Agile squad to map sales journeys, gather requirements, and design functional CPQ solutions across Lead-to-Quote and Quote-to-Order processes. You’ll collaborate with D365 teams to clarify responsibilities and data requirements, shaping scalable platform designs. The opportunity sits within Softcat’s growing Internal Technology function, contributing to a ambitious technology roadmap. You’ll engage in impactful process improvements and help drive transformation through technology.

• Engage with stakeholders to understand objectives and opportunities for process improvement
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and process mapping
• Gather, document and prioritise business requirements
• Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specs
• Support backlog creation and refinement with Product Owners
• Develop understanding of CPQ processes including configuration, pricing, approvals, and quoting
• Map end-to-end sales journeys across PROS Smart CPQ, Dynamics 365/Dataverse, and related services

• Experience implementing or configuring enterprise CPQ solutions, ideally PROS Smart CPQ
• Strong understanding of CPQ processes (catalogues, guided selling, configuration, pricing, discounting, approvals, quoting, document generation)
• Ability to translate complex sales processes into scalable platform designs
• Understanding of data and process boundaries between CPQ, CRM and downstream platforms
