As a Senior Associate in the Future Payment Systems and Infrastructure team, you will contribute to shaping the UK payments landscape and regulatory approach during consolidation into the FCA. You will engage with other authorities, payment system participants and stakeholders to advance the National Payments Vision and robust oversight of emerging payment systems. The role combines policy delivery, regulatory cooperation and problem-solving to deliver outcomes that benefit consumers and the economy. This is a high-impact opportunity to help regulate evolving payment infrastructure in a changing regulatory environment.

- Collaborate with authorities and payment systems participants on National Payments Vision issues
- Contribute to the PSR’s approach to new and developing payment systems
- Develop deep understanding of payment systems, their environments, governance and business models
- Contribute to robust regulatory assessment and better outcomes for users
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and teams
- Promote collaboration, inclusion and learning within the Supervision team, modelling PSR values
- Regulatory, supervisory, monitoring or policy experience with stakeholder management
- Experience analysing complex information and producing decision-informing outputs
- Understanding of payment systems and the payments landscape
- Ability to lead or own complex projects and deliver outcomes
- Stakeholder management and negotiation towards strategic goals
- Knowledge of economic regulation, competition and/or payments landscape
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Sound judgement and decision-making in ambiguous situations
