Gas Controller SCADA Operations

SCADA monitoring and natural gas operations define this Gas Controller position with Enbridge’s Chatham Gas control team. Work rotating shifts in a safety critical control centre.

As a Gas Controller, you will operate automated systems supporting natural gas storage, transmission, and distribution. The position requires control room, field operations, or industrial controls experience. You will manage capacities, contractual obligations, supply and demand, and emergency responses. Strong communication and decisive judgment are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control gas systems through real time SCADA
• Evaluate hydraulics and maintain system capacities
• Respond to abnormal and emergency conditions
• Coordinate relationships with pipelines, customers, and field personnel
• Forecast and adjust market supply requirements

Requirements:

• Technical college diploma, university degree, or equivalent experience
• One year as a Control Room Operator required
• Two years in control rooms, operations, or industrial controls
• Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and team skills
• Ability to work independently and decisively under pressure
