Locums - Sedro-Woolley, Washington Gastroenterology Opportunity

Clinical Role

RecruitWell is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a full-time locums opportunity in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. This six-month assignment includes outpatient Gastroenterology care, general endoscopy procedures, and hospital privileges, with no call requirements.

Assignment Details

• Start date: January 4, 2027

• Expected assignment duration: 6 months

• Provider type: MD/DO

• FTE: 1.0

• Reason for coverage: Gap in coverage

• Adult patient population

• Average patient volume: Approximately 16 patients per day

• Clinic and hospital privileges required

• No call

Schedule & Coverage

• Monday-Friday

• 8:00 am-5:00 pm

• Standard daytime coverage

• No call requirements

Practice Setting & Case Mix

• Primarily outpatient Gastroenterology

• Adult patients

• General Gastroenterology consultations and follow-up care

• Admissions required

• General endoscopy procedures

• No advanced endoscopy required

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage adult Gastroenterology patients

• Perform general Gastroenterology procedures

• Complete admissions as clinically indicated

• Provide outpatient consultations and follow-up care

• Collaborate with physicians and other specialties within the multispecialty environment

• Provider may occasionally work independently

Procedures & Skills

Required procedural experience includes:

• Colonoscopy

• EGD

• General Gastroenterology endoscopy

• Moderate sedation

Advanced endoscopy is not required.

Support & Technology

• Multispecialty practice environment

• Another physician is onsite

• Additional specialties onsite may include:

  • Obstetrics

  • Orthopedics

  • General Surgery

  • Other multispecialty services

• EMR: Epic

• Provider must be proficient with Epic

Requirements & Credentialing

• MD or DO

• Washington medical license highly preferred due to the January start date

• Candidates without an active Washington license may be considered

• ACLS required

• BLS required

• Moderate sedation certification required

• Certifications must be through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, as applicable

• Epic proficiency required
