Gastroenterology Physician

Aya Locums

Morgantown · West Virginia · United States

A West Virginia hospital is seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist for clinic and call coverage beginning October 1, 2026. Coverage is anticipated for six months, with approximately two to three weeks needed each month.

Multiple gastroenterologists may divide the schedule, so partial monthly availability and alternative blocks may be considered.

Assignment highlights include:

  • Clinic plus call coverage
  • Two to three weeks per month preferred
  • Multiple gastroenterologists may share the schedule
  • General and Advanced GI procedures
  • Endoscopy required
  • ERCP required
  • EUS preferred but optional
  • 189-bed acute-care hospital
  • Cerner electronic medical record
  • Approximately 60 days for credentialing
  • Transportation and lodging provided

Candidates must be board certified and maintain an active DEA, BLS, and ACLS. An active West Virginia license is preferred, although qualified IMLC candidates may be considered for licensing assistance.

I approach locums differently than simply sending out openings. I want to understand what would make an assignment worthwhile for you, then filter the details around your schedule, clinical preferences, and priorities. Even if this specific need is not the right fit, I would still value the opportunity to learn what is.

Please apply with your availability and preferred monthly schedule. Partial coverage and alternative blocks may be discussed.
