Gastroenterology Physician

An outpatient healthcare organization is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment in Lakewood, New Jersey. This role offers a mix of clinic and procedural work in a collaborative setting with established support staff.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Monday through Friday (3 clinic days and 2 procedural days per week)
• Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Setting: Outpatient

Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient gastroenterology care for patients with a range of digestive conditions
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage gastrointestinal disorders
• Collaborate with a Physician Assistant, Medical Assistant, and other support staff
• Maintain patient care in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulations

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Active New Jersey medical license or eligibility through IMLC
• Ability to perform diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures, including ERCP

Desired Skills:

• Experience with outpatient gastroenterology practice settings
• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks, Epic, or Provation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
