Generative AI Data Engineer

Build Generative AI applications with Python, SQL, and LLM expertise as a hands-on AI Data Engineer at Citi. Develop scalable enterprise solutions.

This full-time AI Data Engineer role focuses on AI-powered applications and agentic solutions for regulated financial services. You will design intelligent agents, data pipelines, and production-grade APIs. The work includes Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, machine learning integration, and intelligent automation. Collaboration spans architects, product owners, data scientists, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design agents supporting perception, reasoning, planning, and action execution
• Develop governed data pipelines for AI and machine learning workloads
• Integrate LLMs and predictive models into agent capabilities
• Build reusable Python or Java services, APIs, and microservices
• Document agent designs, implementations, and operational procedures

Requirements:

• Five-plus years of professional software development experience
• Two-plus years in AI/ML, Generative AI, or automation
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency; Java is beneficial
• Experience with LLM applications, Prompt Engineering, RAG, and embeddings
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
