GIS Analyst Spatial Data Automation

Use ArcGIS Pro and Python as a GIS Analyst with Mosaic on Vancouver Island. Support land management through spatial analysis and mapping.

Reporting to the Manager, Forest Information Systems Services, this GIS Analyst supports Mosaic’s diverse landbase. The work spans forestry, watershed services, renewable energy, recreation, real estate, and carbon projects. You will solve unfamiliar spatial problems across changing business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct constraint, terrain, suitability, and change detection analyses
• Integrate and quality-control spatial data from diverse sources
• Produce operational maps, map series, and web maps
• Automate workflows using Python, ModelBuilder, and FME
• Translate spatial results into actionable project insights

Requirements:

• Three-plus years in GIS analysis and spatial data management
• Degree or diploma in GIS or related discipline
• Strong knowledge of the Esri ArcGIS Suite
• Experience with geodatabases and established data standards
• Working knowledge of relational databases, including MS SQL Server
