WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will be a hands‑on engineer building AI-driven solutions that improve BCG’s products, processes, and technology. Working within an Agile, product-oriented environment, you will develop reliable and scalable applications that use generative AI and modern cloud technologies to solve meaningful business problems.

You will contribute across the development lifecycle, from technical design and experimentation through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement. You will apply strong software engineering practices while exploring practical ways to use large language models (LLMs), agentic technologies, and AI-enabled development tools.

Among your responsibilities, you will:

  • Design, build, test, and maintain backend applications and APIs using Python, including FastAPI.
  • Develop secure, scalable services that integrate LLMs and other AI capabilities with AWS-based platforms.
  • Build and improve GenAI solutions, including RAG applications, agentic workflows, and related AI integrations.
  • Solve complex engineering problems, evaluating technical trade-offs across performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Apply clean architecture, automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices to deliver reliable, high-quality software.
  • Use AI and agentic engineering tools to accelerate development while maintaining strong standards for code quality.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and other cross‑functional colleagues to turn requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Stay current with AI and software engineering developments, applying relevant approaches to improve products and ways of working.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 4+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience, with strong Python and backend/API development skills.
  • Practical exposure to LLMs and GenAI, such as RAG, agentic workflows, or LLM integrations.
  • Experience building cloud‑native solutions, ideally using AWS, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Strong software design skills, with experience building reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems and make sound trade‑offs across performance, security, and scalability.
  • Experience working in Agile, product‑oriented environments and collaborating effectively across engineering and product teams.
  • Curiosity about emerging AI technologies and enthusiasm for applying new approaches to practical engineering challenges.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will work as part of an AI/ML engineering squad, collaborating closely with engineers, Product Owners, and the Team Dev Lead to build and improve AI‑powered products.

You will contribute your technical expertise throughout the development lifecycle, working with colleagues across product and engineering to understand requirements, solve technical challenges, and deliver high‑quality solutions. You will work in an Agile environment where collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement are central to how the squad operates.
