Overview
As Global CMS Database Administration Team Manager, you will own and shape database platforms across Trimble’s CMS portfolio, driving high-availability architectures and cloud-native automation. You lead a global DBA team, mentor talent, and steer modernization programs that boost resiliency and scalability. This role partners with Cloud Operations, SRE, and product leaders to safeguard data and accelerate transformation. You’ll influence strategic directions while delivering impact at scale in a purpose-driven, collaborative culture.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate a globally distributed DBA team with a follow-the-sun model
- Drive modernization and automation of database platforms using cloud-native tools and Infrastructure as Code
- Collaborate with Cloud Operations, SRE, and Product to ensure resiliency, scalability, and performance
- Define and execute global disaster recovery, high availability, and security policies across relational and NoSQL databases
- Oversee database operations to minimize manual overhead and improve reliability
- Hire, mentor, and develop top technical talent across regions
- Experience managing globally distributed or multi-region DBA teams
- Extensive experience with enterprise database technologies and cloud operations (AWS/Azure)
- Deep expertise in database architecture, high availability, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and security
- Proven track record supporting mission-critical, customer-facing software applications
