As a Software Engineer in Scotiabank’s Global Payment Technology team, you will design, develop, and implement applications for business requirements. Your work includes microservices, webservices, SOAP, communication protocols, and data formats including JSON and XML. You will collaborate across functional and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement payment processing applications
  • Develop solutions using Java, Python, and Shell Scripting
  • Build microservices, webservices, and SOAP integrations
  • Test releases and protect existing codebases
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot errors, and provide production support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Working knowledge of communication protocols
  • Experience with SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies
  • Knowledge of COBOL and Informix Database concepts
  • English verbal and written communication skills
