Go Backend Engineer Sports Data

Build real-time sports data systems at Betstamp in Toronto using Go, ClickHouse, and AI-enabled development practices. Work across backend infrastructure where market accuracy matters.

As a Backend Engineer, you will maintain and improve systems tracking odds across sportsbooks, exchanges, and prediction markets. The work spans REST APIs, sportsbook scrapers, Redis Streams, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes. You will begin with scrapers, then take ownership across the stack alongside a senior engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build Echo endpoints for markets, fixtures, and line history
• Optimize PostgreSQL and ClickHouse queries for performance
• Maintain over 100 sportsbook integrations as feeds change
• Contribute to Redis Streams, market processing, and database schemas
• Use AI tools for implementation, testing, and investigation

Requirements:

• Experience with Go and REST APIs
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Redis Streams
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub Actions
• Ability to review AI-generated output carefully
• Ability to learn and deliver across backend systems
