Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Golang Developer to join a global cybersecurity engineering team responsible for building and operating enterprise security services.

This is a hands‑on build-and-run engineering role focused on backend Golang development, REST APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, cloud technologies, and security automation. The engineer will design new security features, build tooling and automation, improve platform resiliency, and contribute to the ongoing operation of an enterprise secrets‑management environment.

The ideal candidate combines strong Golang development with Kubernetes and cloud engineering experience and is comfortable taking ownership across development, DevOps, testing, production support, and cybersecurity initiatives.

Top Required Skills

• 4+ years of backend or full‑stack Golang development
• Microservices architecture and concepts
• 2+ years of Kubernetes experience
• 2+ years working with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP services

3. AI-Enhanced Software Development

• Experience incorporating AI into software engineering and development workflows
• Ability to evaluate and responsibly apply AI technologies to engineering and automation use cases

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new cybersecurity features and controls
• Build backend services, APIs, integrations, and automation using Golang
• Develop tooling and AI-assisted solutions for vulnerability analysis and cyber resiliency
• Support Kubernetes-based environments
• Perform service delivery and DevOps activities
• Develop automated testing frameworks and test suites
• Build integrations with enterprise technology platforms
• Remediate security findings and vulnerabilities
• Improve service resiliency, reliability, and observability
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies
• Maintain technical documentation and share engineering best practices
• Participate in an on-call rotation
• Collaborate with globally distributed engineering and security teams

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of Golang development experience
• REST APIs and microservices
• 2+ years of Kubernetes experience
• 2+ years of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP experience
• AI-enhanced software development experience
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Ability to work collaboratively within a global engineering organization

• Configuration as Code
• CI/CD using Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions
• MCP, A2A, or Vector Database experience

Cybersecurity Experience

Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:

• Secrets management
• Authentication and authorization
• PKI
• Encryption at rest and in transit
• CVE remediation
• Vulnerability management
• Security controls

Additional Technical Knowledge

Experience with distributed-system patterns such as:

• Retry patterns
• Idempotency
• API gateways

This position is onsite in Montreal, Quebec. Candidates should be comfortable working as part of a globally distributed build-and-run engineering team and participating in an on-call rotation.
