Overview

In this role you will lead the design and delivery of Google Cloud solutions for public sector clients, shaping secure, enterprise-grade architectures. You’ll work within the Accenture Google Business Group to implement scalable cloud foundations and mentor small teams. You’ll translate complex technology into actionable deliverables and collaborate with clients to ensure outcomes align with strategic goals. Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical architecture and delivery of Google Cloud solutions for public sector clients
  • Design, deploy, and operate secure sovereign Google Cloud solutions on client sites and internal references
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to small teams for successful project delivery
  • Leverage deep knowledge of Google Cloud architecture to deliver enterprise-grade solutions
Key requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years uninterrupted residency in the UK
  • At least one Google Cloud Professional level certification
  • Expertise in Google Cloud products and services (e.g. Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, GKE) and broader IaaS (Kubernetes, virtualization)
  • Experience architecting and engineering cloud-based solutions to meet business outcomes and non-functional requirements
  • Hands-on experience creating architecture diagrams, design specs, and operational runbooks
  • Experience implementing foundational cloud platforms (landing zones, IAM, VPC, networking) to enable scalable and secure Google Cloud adoption
  • Strong communication skills for technical, non-technical and management stakeholders
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines and scripting (Bash, Python, Perl)
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and tools (IAM, firewalls, encryption)
  • Hands-on networking across cloud and on-premise systems (TCP/IP, subnets, VPC, load balancing, DNS)
  • Proven ability to lead small technical teams and mentor juniors
  • Experience in site reliability engineering or IT production operations
