Overview

In this role, you will be the lead technical specialist for Google Workspace across Travis Perkins' enterprise environment, shaping security practices and modern authentication. You’ll bridge Google tech with architecture and security teams, driving SSO, Zero Trust, and automation initiatives. The role offers significant scope to influence enterprise-wide Google deployment and improvements. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable Google Workspace solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end Google Workspace console including RBAC profiles, Organisation Units, domain configurations and calendars
  • Design and implement complex SAML and OIDC SSO integrations and third-party SaaS app connections
  • Lead Zero Trust and platform security initiatives, adopt modern authentication standards and audit API usage for compliance
  • Act as escalation point for technical issues, guiding Google admins and advising on MDM and Chrome updates
  • Analyze console metrics to optimize license usage, adoption, and inform executive decisions
  • Represent Google platform in governance forums and support major enterprise initiatives (acquisitions/divestments)
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement via Google Workspace features, Apps Script automation, and collaboration tools
Key requirements
  • Strong hands-on experience managing and engineering Google Workspace in an enterprise
  • Deep knowledge of Google authentication methods, identity management, SAML/OIDC and Google endpoint/MDM
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and traditional IT infrastructure
  • Proven ability to design solutions, implement them, and present to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance to deliver projects
