Overview
As a Software Engineer in Arm’s graphics team, you explore modern and neural graphics to shape GPU performance on Arm devices. You work with experienced engineers to prototype, analyze workloads, and provide optimization guidance for developers. You’ll build demonstrations and documentation while deepening your understanding of GPUs, rendering, and graphics APIs. This role offers a hands-on path to influence future graphics on billions of Arm-powered devices.

- Learn and investigate modern graphics techniques including neural graphics and future-looking approaches
- Conduct technical investigations and performance analyses; prototype solutions
- Profile, debug, experiment with real-world workloads; resolve customer issues
- Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners; create demos and developer education materials
- Develop understanding of GPU architecture, rendering techniques, graphics APIs, and game engines over time
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ or other low-level systems language
- Good understanding of real-time graphics and the GPU pipeline with exposure to a modern graphics API
- Foundational knowledge of machine learning/neural networks and interest in applying them to graphics
- Ability to prototype, evaluate, and communicate technical ideas in an R&D setting with limited supervision
- Curiosity and self-motivation
- Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to work with cross-functional teams
- Shader languages (GLSL, HLSL, Slang)
- Modern GPU APIs (Vulkan, Direct3D 12, Metal, WebGPU)
- Understanding of graphics software mapping to GPU hardware
