In this role you will own and shape advanced Ground Segment capabilities for secure satellite communications. You will work within a cross-functional team to translate customer and product requirements into integrated hardware and software solutions, balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints. You’ll influence technical direction on mission-critical space programmes and operate with autonomy across the full product lifecycle. This is a chance to impact national security and contribute to regional space capability and talent development.
Responsibilities- Own and deliver end-to-end ground segment capabilities for complex satellite communications systems
- Lead technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and cost/risk management
- Translate customer requirements into hardware/software specifications through analyses and interface definition
- Guide lifecycle activities from concept to disposal across hardware and software development
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support secure, high-performance space operations
- Influence product direction and major programme decisions as a technical authority
- Extensive experience in systems engineering, product management, or related discipline
- Experience in satellite communications ground segment systems is highly desirable
- Strong background in system lifecycle development including integration, verification, and validation
- Experience working across complex, multidisciplinary engineering environments
- Ability to influence technical decisions and engage effectively with senior stakeholders
