Job overview

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Integration and Development Manager to lead the integration and development functions across the Hospitals Group. This pivotal role will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a responsive, high-quality service that supports organisational priorities and digital transformation objectives.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and partner organisations, the post holder will lead the strategic planning, implementation, maintenance and ongoing optimisation of integration technologies, ensuring systems remain resilient, reliable and aligned with the organisation's long-term vision. The role will also drive the continued evolution of the integration and development teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and professional development.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will oversee the integration and development work programme, ensuring effective prioritisation and delivery of projects, enhancements and support activities.

They will lead the planning and implementation of system upgrades, manage the lifecycle of integration platforms, and review existing digital solutions to identify opportunities for improvement, standardisation and greater efficiency. A key focus will be maximising the value of core clinical and corporate systems, particularly the Electronic Patient Record, through effective integration and development practices.

The post holder will champion best practice, ensure system resilience and operational sustainability, support the introduction of new technologies, and develop team capability through training, mentoring and skills development to meet current and future organisational needs.

Working for our organisation

We are proud to be part of BSW Hospitals Group – a formal partnership between Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. Every improvement we make across our Group will be guided by what creates the greatest benefit for our colleagues, our patients, our communities and our partners.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The role includes participation in the IT on-call rota and occasional evening or weekend working.

This is an opportunity to shape the future of data and insight across a Group environment, supporting closer working across care organisations and wider system partners.
