About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Guidewire Cloud Engineer to take ownership of our shared infrastructure, cloud environments, and monitoring systems. In this role, you will be the backbone of our release and platform stability operations, working closely with Dev-Tech Leaders and development teams to ensure seamless deployments, robust security compliance, and high platform availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Deployment & Environment Management: Execute deployments on shared environments following Dev-Tech Leaders' code reviews; handle test environment setups and perform initial technical troubleshooting.
• Database & Storage Administration: Execute database restores on shared environments and manage variables, secrets, certificates, and storage access (such as AWS S3 buckets).
• Vendor & Access Coordination: Raise technical tickets with Guidewire regarding new environments or shared components; administer new and existing Active Directory groups in coordination with Guidewire and the Service Desk.
• Platform Communication: Act as the central point of contact for cloud standard changes, and keep development teams informed about maintenance windows, platform incidents, and security patches.
• Security & Compliance: Define and maintain data masking configurations while enforcing secure deployment practices across the platform.
• Monitoring & Observability: Build, maintain, and proactively monitor Datadog dashboards to ensure optimal environment health and performance metrics.

Technical Skills & Capabilities

• CI/CD Mastery: Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, pipeline configuration, build artifact management, and environment promotion.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Strong hands-on experience working within the AWS Cloud platform.
• Secrets Management: Practical experience with secrets management tools, ideally CyberArk.
• Monitoring Tools: Proven experience building dashboards and tracking key metrics in monitoring tools like Datadog.
• Certifications:
• Guidewire (GW) Certification is required.
• AWS or Azure certifications/knowledge are highly preferred.
