Job Summary

Cogency Inc. is seeking an experienced Guidewire Technical Lead / Solution Architect to lead Guidewire implementation, configuration, customization, integration, and production support initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise across Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter , with experience in both Cloud and On-Premises implementations .

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across onsite and offshore teams, work closely with client stakeholders and project leadership, and contribute to solution design, delivery, technical governance, and the development of reusable assets and capabilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for Guidewire implementation, customization, integration, and post-production support.
  • Lead solution design, technical architecture, configuration, development, and implementation activities.
  • Coordinate effectively with offshore delivery teams and ensure alignment between onsite and offshore teams.
  • Oversee daily communication, status reporting, and coordination between onsite/offshore teams.
  • Manage daily task allocation, progress tracking, monitoring, and status reporting to clients and project leadership.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, detailed technical design, development, integration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Design and implement complex business rules and Guidewire-based solutions.
  • Configure and develop Guidewire components across Transactions, Job Configuration, Lines of Business, Forms, Administration, Account & Contact Management and related areas.
  • Work extensively with Gosu, PCF, Wizards, Data Model, Workflow, Activities, and Product Designer .
  • Provide technical guidance on Guidewire integrations and enterprise application architecture.
  • Leverage advanced Guidewire capabilities, including Integration Gateways, AppEvents, Autopilot workflows, and GenAI capabilities .
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with established architecture and development standards.
  • Contribute to technical assets, accelerators, frameworks, and best practices to strengthen Cogency's Guidewire capabilities.
  • Mentor developers and contribute to building and strengthening the Guidewire technical competency.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement across the SDLC.
  • Work closely with business, architecture, QA, infrastructure, and project management teams to ensure successful delivery.


Required Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of overall IT experience , with at least 5 years of hands-on Guidewire implementation experience .
  • Strong experience with one or more of:
  • Guidewire PolicyCenter
  • Guidewire BillingCenter
  • Guidewire ClaimCenter
  • Experience across solution design, configuration, extension, customization, implementation, and post-production support .
  • Experience working with both Guidewire Cloud and On-Premises implementations.
  • Strong understanding of small, mid-market, and large commercial lines of business .
  • Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong experience with application development projects involving complex business rules.
  • Proven experience in requirements analysis, detailed technical design, implementation, integration, and long-term application maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Guidewire certification, particularly in the Integration track.
  • Professional experience as a Guidewire Cloud Integration Developer .
  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations and integrations.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience with Guidewire Integration Gateways, AppEvents, and Autopilot workflows .
  • Exposure to GenAI capabilities within Guidewire or enterprise insurance platforms .
  • Experience developing reusable frameworks, accelerators, and technical assets.
