Head of Cloud

In this role you will lead our cloud platform and infrastructure teams to define and execute a scalable AWS-based strategy. You will bridge architecture, operations and people leadership to raise platform reliability, security and developer velocity. You’ll own cloud initiatives, IaC, automation and CI/CD while shaping cross-functional roadmaps with engineering and business units. This is a hands-on executive role focused on delivering impact at scale and guiding a growing engineering organisation.

• Lead and mentor cloud platform and infrastructure teams, driving recruitment, career growth and performance management
• Define team strategies, operational processes and objectives aligned with business priorities
• Architect and evolve a secure, reliable, and scalable AWS ecosystem
• Lead cloud platform initiatives including IaC, automation and CI/CD improvements
• Ensure operational excellence, compliance, and security across the platform
• Represent cloud capabilities in strategic planning with engineering leadership and other business units
• Build internal developer platforms and APIs (Go/Node.js) to enable self-service for product teams
• Drive adoption of best practices, automation and tooling to improve velocity, reliability and efficiency
• Champion high standards for technical documentation and process optimization
• Promote knowledge sharing, observability and proactive problem-solving
• Deliver measurable improvements via cross-team technical initiatives
• Communicate cloud strategy effectively to executives and stakeholders
• Increase developer velocity and adoption across engineering teams

• Proven leadership in managing and scaling engineering teams
• Deep hands-on AWS cloud-native architecture and operations experience
• Strong knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS) and automated deployment pipelines
• Background in Go or Node.js with an infrastructure-as-code mindset
• Strategic thinker able to influence directors and align initiatives with business objectives
• Expertise in SRE principles, building for failure, and high-availability systems
