Head Of Engineering

As Head of Engineering you will steer and own outcomes for the EMEA Delivery Engineering teams in a rapidly scaling environment. This strategic, architecture-focused role balances hands-off leadership with delivering high-quality software products and shaping technical direction. You will manage multiple teams, including a 40-person European project squad, and engage with C-suite stakeholders to align technology with business goals. The position offers high visibility on customer-facing projects across Europe, with a focus on utilities sectors like electricity and water.

• Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to engineering leaders and managers across multiple teams
• Align engineering capabilities with customer and business requirements in collaboration with Customer Success and Project Delivery
• Drive agile practices, continuous improvement, and innovation within engineering
• Engage with external clients to champion customer-centric delivery and leverage customer insights for technical innovation
• Oversee high-level strategic and architectural planning with solution architects
• Monitor team performance and customer satisfaction, focusing on efficiency and profitability
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing, collaborative team culture
• Promote knowledge transfer, adoption of emerging technologies, security improvements, and automation initiatives

• Proven leadership in delivering external, customer-focused SaaS or consultancy-driven projects
• Strong experience with agile methodologies and software delivery best practices
• Experience in modern environments (microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud-native)
