Head of Engineering - Compliance/Asset Management

Location: South London
Contract: Ongoing Interim
Rate: Up to 500 per day Umbrella

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Engineering to join a leading local authority within its Housing & Asset Management function.

This is a senior leadership position overseeing a broad technical and engineering portfolio, with responsibility across M&E, gas, electrical, lifts, fire safety, water management, compliance, procurement and contract management .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical and engineering services across the housing portfolio

• Develop and implement asset management and compliance strategies

• Oversee M&E, fire, gas, electrical and water safety

• Lead major contracts, procurement and programme delivery

• Manage budgets, cost control and financial performance

• Lead and develop a team of professional staff

• Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders and leadership teams

About You

We are looking for someone with significant senior-level experience within social housing, a housing association or local authority housing environment .

You should have a strong background in technical services, engineering, asset management or property compliance , alongside experience managing major contracts, programmes and professional teams.

Up to 500 per day Umbrella | Ongoing Contract
