Head of Engineering

In this role you will lead Globant's engineering function in London, guiding senior engineers and tech leaders to build strong organizational capability. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to product, delivery, and programme leadership, connecting technical strategy to business outcomes. You will define and govern multi-year platform roadmaps and target-state architectures across multiple teams, ensuring consistency and scalability. You will drive governance, standards, and ADRs, monitor SLOs, and optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining high code quality. This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic influence to accelerate digital transformation for clients.

• Lead, coach, and develop senior engineers and technical leaders to build organizational capability and successor pipelines
• Serve as trusted technical advisor to product, delivery, and programme leadership, aligning technical strategy with business outcomes
• Build relationships and align architecture/standards across Principal, Solution, and Enterprise Architects
• Define, maintain, and govern multi-year platform target-state architectures and roadmaps across multi-team/tribe organizations
• Resolve cross-team technical dependencies and establish ownership for shared components
• Maintain a platform-wide technical debt register and secure capacity for remediation and renewal
• Define, version, and enforce engineering standards, code health expectations, and quality gates
• Lead technical governance processes, prepare review materials, and document Architecture Decision Records (ADRs)
• Define and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for system health, latency, and reliability
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure costs relative to throughput and value delivered

• Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing senior engineers and technical leaders
• Strong ability to act as trusted technical advisor across product, delivery, and programme leadership
• Experience aligning architecture/standards across diverse cross-enterprise groups
• Track record of defining and governing multi-year platform roadmaps and target-state architectures
• Experience resolving cross-team dependencies and managing shared components
• Proven ability to manage a platform technical debt register and remediation capacity
• Hands-on experience defining engineering standards, code health, and quality gates
• Experience running formal technical governance with ADRs
• Experience defining and monitoring SLOs and system health
