Head of IT

In this newly created Head of IT role, you will own and shape the IT function to drive the next stage of business growth. You’ll report to the COO and set the IT strategy, building a high-impact function across multiple sites and international teams. You’ll turn IT from a cost center into a value driver, with a clear plan for cybersecurity, data integration, and platform modernization. This is a hands-on, strategic position with board-level influence and a clear path to CTO as the business scales. Your work will directly support scaling ecommerce and strengthening the company’s technology backbone.

• Own IT strategy and roadmap; mature the function across sites and with third parties
• Lead and develop a small, cross-site team
• Maintain stable, secure, well-run IT estate and hands-on delivery when needed
• Maximize value from ERP (Sage X3) and improve data/integration across systems
• Own security, risk, and compliance; advance toward Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001
• Build the commercial case for IT investment and ensure ROI on every pound spent

• Led IT in an SME or mid-market environment with multi-site or international scope
• Strong stakeholder management and the confidence to challenge plans
• Broad technical grounding across infrastructure, cloud, security and business systems
• Experience managing MSPs, suppliers, budgets and contracts
