Head of IT

Location: Yeovil / Taunton / Exeter

We’re working with an established multi-site UK law firm looking for a Head of IT to lead its in-house technology function.

This is a hands‑on leadership role with responsibility for the firm’s IT strategy, transformation and day-to-day technology operations. You’ll lead a team of seven and work directly with Partners and senior leadership to shape the firm’s technology roadmap.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver the IT and technology strategy
• Lead technology transformation and AI initiatives
• Oversee legal practice and document management systems
• Lead the in-house IT team and key technology suppliers
• Oversee M365, Azure, infrastructure, cyber security and business systems
• Manage IT budgets, roadmaps and technology investment

What we’re looking for:

• Current or recent IT leadership experience within a UK law firm
• Strong legal technology and transformation experience
• Broad knowledge across M365, Azure, cloud, infrastructure and cyber security
• Strong leadership and senior stakeholder‑management skills
