Head of Keyboard

Whitgift School is seeking a Head of Keyboard for a permanent part-time position, specifically for term time, at 0.48 FTE. The successful candidate will lead keyboard teaching, providing high-quality piano instruction and managing a team of Visiting Music Teachers. Responsibilities include overseeing student progress, examinations, and performance opportunities such as concerts and auditions, while encouraging student involvement in the school's musical activities.The Head of Keyboard will work closely with the Director of Music and the Music Department to promote excellence in keyboard music through inspiring teaching and various opportunities like ensembles and masterclasses. Additionally, the role involves building relationships with external professionals and feeder schools, identifying prospective music scholars, and managing the tuning and maintenance of the school's pianos.
